Time off to gain perspective

I am glad that our office is closed between Christmas and New Years. They say that time away from any situation gives a person one thing -- perspective. Perspective is always a positive thing to gain. When you gain some distance from your situation things appear in their proper proportions. You can step back from the micro view and gain a more objective view. That's what I've been prayerfully up to lately. Most of this time for me has been occupied by quality time with family. This has been rich.

Hope you're having some of the same types of experiences -- whether you have a couple days or a couple weeks. May God grow your roots deeper!

Thanks Tami for your comment. I think the key is to ENJOY the time away -- and don't feel guilty for enjoying it. Easier said then done.

I woke up this morning and thought I was dreaming, but actually woke up praying about deep roots and abiding in Him. I too am gaining perspective and awareness. Not always easy or fun but so necessary. Glad you are enjoying your time with your family Matt. You have a great one. :) Happy New Year.
