A Shocking Story of Lynching in Coos Bay Oregon

Although I grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon - I never heard this story.  I was shocked to read it.  It was the cover story in the past month's Christianity Today.  I had never heard of Alonzo Tucker.  It never came up in my studies of our local history.  We try to forget the past - pretending like it never happened.  But acknowledgment, repentance, and lament (grief) are essential behaviors in a broken world.
