For the 3rd year in a row, Heidi and I took an overnight snowshoeing trip near Mount Rainier, to the Mount Tahoma trails. In 2004 we had lots of snow, 2005 -- no snow. Now on this trip, we had the most snow ever.
On the first night we stayed in the High Hut, and on the second night we were at the "Yurt". We ended up going just over 5 miles each day (15+miles total). We also brought along a snowboard for some added fun.
It was nice to get away from cell phones and email for a couple of days to relax and enjoy God's creation. We met some really nice people and had great time together.

I think he is the "Gentle Warrior" -- my brother in law (Shaun Wilson) -- Heidi's brother who lives in Eugene. Beware calling him "dorky" though -- he might turn into a samurai.
